OMGG it duznt work like.. it comes up with download the newer version your time has ran out. But wen i download the newer version that duznt work itherr. it says msn aint availible or sommet. its been like this foor agess. please help me(:

When I click the download here button it downloads but just opens a text document in notepad full of absolute rubbish. It does work at all. I use vista....is that the problem? I'd dearly love to get 7.5 back but I can't see another way.

help!!!, i dl the 7.5, i change to the windows 2000, and a box comes up saying, to log in as local administrator. im on this vista as owner, i can't find where to change it? ty

If you are having troubles running Msn 7.5 on Window xp . For example-it keep telling you to upgrade to MSN Live etc.

You can try right clicking on the Msn icon (located on desktop), then go to Properties, then click on Compatibility (at the top). Then change Compatibility Mode to Windows 2000.

I currently have a new laptop, it is windows vista. And i am wanting to be able to get 2 msn's running at the same time on my computer. I already have windows live messenger on my laptop but i know the only way is to have windows live messenger and windows messenger. But i have tried many times to download msn messenger and it will not let me. Is there anyway of downloading msn messenger onto windows vista?

when I try to open msn 7.5 it asks me to upgrade to msn live when i do it goes through but comes up with an error saying"The procedure entry point SetDlDirectoryW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32:dll.
Can someone please help me with this I think it might be because my brother put windows xp pro on my computer after it crashed once and it has come up saying that it isnt valid

Where to download msn 7.5 for windows 98....

My laptop crashed not too long ago
and so i had to reload everything when i got it back. Windows Live Messenger was working horribly before the crash whenever i sent webcam it would freeze my whole computer then when i would try to open messenger again it wouldn't load.
I now have a new webcam and stupid windows live is freezing again
i tried downloading the 7.5 and deleting windows live
it said i must upgrade to sign in so i tried what you said about going through my computer, but not dice, what to do?

for ages ive only been using the basic msn where you cant even see DPs. so today i decided hmm, why dont i download something new! (i remember using my mates 7.5 and liked it!) so i went to msn.com etc etc took half an hour to download, then i went to load it. IT SUCKED! it was soo bad i just took it off and stuck to my basics (still on my computer)then i stumbled across this link, and now im downloading it! i hope it works! thanks all!

i just downloaded/installed 7.5..but like when i sign in it says i have to download and install the latest version (which is windows live messager) but..i want to use 7.5

Hey .. I know how to solve this problem
1st step go to " My Computer " then click " Local Disk " then go to " Programs Files " .. and you'll find a folder called " Msn Messenger " click it .. then you'll find an icon called " msnmsgr " right-click it and then go to properties .. & click " Compatibility " .. Then you'll find something writin >> run this program as .. << choose from the list " WINDOWS 2000 " .. and try signing again to MSN 7.5 .. AND HAVE FUN !! =)

I literaly want to murder the person responsible for creating this retarted version of msn messenger..Im downloading 7.5 , hopefully its as good as they make it sound. If not,I think I'l just stick to the telephone.
