HOW TO FIX THE #53 ERROR!

by Veronique: Make sure u shut down msn completely BEFORE patching.

I had the error first too. After shutting down msn it worked.
And btw u dont have to copy the file into the msn folder. It auto locates the right path.

Howto get it to work on VISTA

by Guri: Its Working With Vista 2
u just neeD to Run it As Administrator.
Open with Right Click Properties >> Compatibility and Check Run As Administrator and than RUn the Patch

when i open the multi live it says choose a patch but all of the links are unclickable,then when i close the thing it says double click your default msn shortcut to use more msn's but it dont work.

Hey, when I try running Multimsn.exe it just gives me an error sound - no pop-errors or anything, just the sound.

I'm running Windows Live Messenger 8.1.178 as this patch, as far as I understood, is for.

I previously used A-patch on my messenger, can this have anything to do with it?

And, yes, I closed messenger completely before running the program.

Hello there. seems that the zip file is damaged. after i download and trying to extract im getting error "The compressed file is corrupted or damaged". Can you fix it?

There is a version compatibility issue u need to address with ur MSN. The patch for 8.5 is required for proper functionality of the multi MSN.

I´ve deleted from the Control Panel msn and reinstalled it and reconfigured it in Add Windows Components as installed in XP,

the multimsn gives a diagnostic of The component MSCOMCTL.OCX or one of its dependent files is not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

My msn is a new clean installation and this XP is not.

What can I do to fix this?

Download this file: MSCOMCTL.OCX

And place it in the extracted folder of MultiLive.
